How Classes work in Radiant Fantasia

I'd like to share some information about how classes work in Radiant Fantasia. The following are excerpts from the core rulebook that describe what classes are available and how they are selected.

Chapter Three: Character Jobs
Many character professions, called Jobs, are available in The Radiant Fantasia Roleplaying Game, and character with levels in heroic jobs are known as heroic characters.

Unlike ordinary characters, heroic characters have Vitality and Magic points in addition to Wound points (ordinary characters have only Wound points). Vitality points make heroic characters harder to defeat and magic points allow them to utilize powerful skills and spells.

The basic starting jobs are Doctor, Noble, Servant, Vagrant, Hunter and Warrior.

Note: In The Radiant Fantasia Roleplaying Game, a heroic player character cannot ―multi-class Jobs. Each player must choose only one Job for their character to become and they cannot switch to another at a later time. However, by taking the feat Job Training a character can (with some restrictions) learn a talent from another Job. Characters can also choose from a pool of Specializations to further customize their character with abilities unavailable to their Job; for example, a Doctor could choose to become a Knight-errant, thus building a character proficient in treating injured characters and fighting dragons and giants.

Specializations are sub-classes that a character can choose that provides them with additional ways to customize their character. Unlike Jobs, Specializations do not award Vitality and Magic points bonuses every time a character levels; instead, a Specializations open new Talent trees to the character. Every time the character levels up, in addition to choosing a Talent from their Job they can also choose a talent from their Specializations.

Some Specializations—like Paladin of Deus – have pre-requisites the character must meet before they may choose this Specialization.

A character may pick their first Specialization at level 1. Characters may choose a second Specialization upon reaching level 3 and then a third at level 6.

The list of Specializations available to all Races are: Adventurer, Alchemist, Archivist, Dancer, Engineer, Jester, Mercenary, Merchant, Minstrel, and Ninja.

Human only Specializations are: Falconer, Knight-errant, Reputable Wizard, Sonbae, Paladin of Deus, and Priest of Deus.

Elemental only Specializations are: Veteran Familiar, Artificer, Champion and Sage.
